Glowing Eyes Effect

Summary:
This technique can be a great special effect in your photography. We will learn to create eyes that appear to be glowing. It is also possible to apply the same technique to any object that you want to emit a bright glowing light.
Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Open a photograph of your subject in Photoshop.

2. Zoom in on the eyes.
3. Click the "Edit in Quick Mask Mode" toggle button.
4. Select the Brush tool. Choose an appropriate size brush.
5. Choose black as your foreground color.
6. Begin painting over the eyes in the photograph. (When you paint in Quick Mask mode, it will be a transparent red.)

7. Click the "Edit in Standard Mode" toggle button.
8. Goto Select > Inverse.
9. Create a new layer. Name it "Glow".
10. Select the Paint Bucket tool. Fill in the selected eyes with white.

11. Click Ctrl+D to deselect the eyes.
12. Right click the "Glow" layer from the Layers Palette. Choose "Blending Options" from the pop-up list.
13. Set the properties for "Outer Glow" to the following:

14. You should now have your glowing eyes effect.
