Cell Phone
Photoshop Tutorial
Summary:
In this tutorial, we will learn how to create a cell phone. This cell phone graphic can be used in the design of applications as well as graphic design projects. I hope you find it useful.
Step-By-Step Instructions:
In this tutorials we will learn how to make the stylish “chocolate” phone from LG.
1. Open a new document, 500x500 pixels and name it LG chocolate. The background can be any color, but white would be good.

2. Now We need to make a base for the phone. We will make it with the Rounded Rectangle Tool with Radius 0.2in. You would have something like this. Fill with any color you like.

3. Next, in the layers toolbox, select this layer, and call it “phone base”. Now, double click on the layer in the toolbox, to bring up the layerstyle box. We need to give it a Bevel and Emboss and gradient to it. These are the setting we used.

For gradient we used the following settings: The color of the right side needs to be: “3A3736”. The color of the left side needs to be: “141414”.

(The result should look like this)

4. Now draw another rectangle with the same Rounded Rectangle Tool but a little samller than the early one. Place it in this way so that we can fell the depth. And fill black color in it.

5. Now draw another rectangle for the screen with the Tool. And place it how we have palced.
Now fill the following gradient setting:
The color of the right side needs to be: “000000”.
The color of the left side needs to be: “61605C”.
The angle of 110 degrees.

(The result should look like this)

6. Get your Rounded Rectangle Tool again and make a small, wide selection. Also, use Inner Shadow in the layer style box, to make it similar to the one in this image.
The settings used for Inner Shadow:
Distance: 2 px
Size: 2 px
Angle: 120

7. Once again, make a shape with the rounded rectangle. This time, it needs to be more like a square instead of a rectangle. Place it in the empty space below the screen, in the middle. Give it the standard black-to-white gradient, with a 150 degrees angle.
Bring up the layer styles menu, and give the following Bevel and Emboss settings:
Depth: 250
Direction: UP
Size: 5 px
Soften: 0

8. Now draw once again the same rectangle but this time a little smaller. And fill it with black color. Place it on the pervious rectangle. This is how it should be.

9. Ok so now your next step would be placing the red buttons. The first buttons we will make are rounded rectangles and its very easy to make them. Get your Rounded Rectangle tool once again and make small rectangle and place them like this:

10. Now we will make the arrow. First up are the arrow buttons. Get your free shape tool (you can find it in the shapes menu) and pick the hollow arrow. Now make a small arrow to the right. Copy this layer, and rotate it by pressing crtl+t. Follow the same step for the other arrows.
11. Now with your Text Tool write OK of font size12. And place it in the center, as we have place:

12. At last, the two other buttons. These are the most annoying buttons on the phone. We will start with the one in the left corner. I have drawn them with Pen Tool. If you find it difficult to make a shape like these buttons, I suggest you copy them into your own piece. The button I mean, is the one in the left corner. Same way will make the last button, the one in the right corner.

13. Last thing that will finish this phone is the LG logo. Now, we can make it ourselves but due to time, we can just got the logo from internet and use that one. I suggest using the last option. You need to place the logo in the middle between the top of the screen and the rectangle above the screen. Like this:

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
